Faddis Concrete Products is now serving the Carolinas from a new precast concrete plant in Richburg, South Carolina. Located 29 miles south of Charlotte, North Carolina, the facility is served by rail with a spur into the building and has immediate highway access to Interstate 77.
The 85,000-square-foot building is situated on 40 acres with extensive laydown areas and dock access on three sides. It’s served by multiple 10- t0 25-ton cranes, allowing large precast sections to be moved with ease.
Faddis Richburg has already obtained plant certifications from National Precast Concrete Association (NPCA), Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI), and North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT). The facility has already supplied a variety of precast products to several notable projects.
Production began in early 2020 for Stormtrap, and nine basins were supplied throughout the year. Faddis Richburg supplied its first ever NCDOT project in the Summer of 2020, producing and shipping noise wall panels for a major highway project on I-77. Production and shipping is also underway for several larger NCDOT noise walls. The plant even supplied Faddis’ first Colorado project with the production of fire walls for Tri-State Generation & Transmission Association’s electrical substations.
